Blemishes

That he [the Lord] might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:26,27). The water of life washes the Bride and makes her so glorious that she is as pure as Heaven. You may say that you have no spots or wrinkles, and that is good. That means you are now down to the blemishes; and in this final hour, you have to shed them off. The blemishes must go, saith the Lord; there cannot be one blemish.
Blemishes are tiny things, and most people do not really know what they are. When something has a blemish in the natural, it means it is spoiled by a flaw, tainted, poisoned, stained or tarnished. A blemish can also be an ugly characteristic that mars the appearance or character of a person or thing. When your heart belongs to God, your soul is covered with the blood. But blemishes are not in the soul; they are in your spirit and in your life, and the Holy Spirit will help you to know if you have any so you can get rid of them.
What Are Blemishes?
Ego is a blemish that is of the devil. God hates ego; and some of you are bothered with it, saith the Lord. When you brag about yourself, that is false pride; and God can’t stand it. You must give God all the glory.
Self-justification is a blemish, and some people justify themselves no matter what they do; but that is wrong. You have to face God with what you do; but some of you pout when things don’t go your way, and you think God doesn’t notice. Pouting comes from the devil, and you and your pouting will be left behind when the Rapture takes place.
Some of you talk about others when you have no right to judge others. God didn’t make you a judge, so why do you try to be one? That is worse than blemishes. The Bible says, Judge not, that ye be not judged (Matthew 7:1).
Being unmerciful and impatient or whispering and gossiping are blemishes. You have to fear God in everything; and when you don’t, that is a blemish. To fear God means to honor Him, and you can only honor Him with holiness and righteousness.
Unbelief is another blemish. The Bible says, For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:3,4). When you fail to live by faith, that is a blemish; and it can be more than one blemish. It means that you are not justified, that you are living by your feelings; and you will never make it on the one flight out that way.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Without faith, you cannot please the Lord. But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Blemishes produce fear and frustration and cause you to doubt God, His promises and His Word. Then you will find yourself believing that the Lord is not coming in your day.
Looking at the wrong things is a blemish. There are all kinds of devilish things on television, and movies are full of people cursing and blaspheming God. If you are holy, you should not want to watch those things. If something isn’t unto edification, turn it off because even the little foxes spoil the vine. Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes (Song of Solomon 2:15).
You will never make the Rapture by singing the wrong songs either. The Lord told you the kinds of songs to sing: Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19).
Blemishes Are Destructive
In Acts, we find the first blemishes that entered the congregation of the Church, and the Lord killed the two people who brought them in—that is how dangerous they are.
A certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him (Acts 5:1-6). Ananias did not have to lie to the Holy Ghost, but he was deceived; and deceit brings defeat.
And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband (Acts 5:7-10).
That is a tragic but true story. Ananias and Sapphira had ego, and they wanted the honor and the glory for themselves. They wanted to keep the money, and they failed to keep their promise to God. When you tempt God and the Holy Spirit, you blaspheme; and Ananias and Sapphira were killed for it. They are in hell today and forevermore.
Blemishes of the Romans
The Romans were full of blemishes, and Paul tried so hard to help them. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). When you hold the truth in unrighteousness and fail to obey all of it, you have blemishes.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:19,20). There is no excuse for us to have any disobedience, indifference or arrogance or to be out of the divine will of God.
Jesus brought divinity and taught us how to use it; and if we fail to use it, we are in trouble. The Pharisees and Sadducees did not use it; and Jesus told them, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). Jesus gave it to them straight, and He is still giving it to people straight today.
There was a time when God winked at ignorance; but since Jesus came, everybody is called to repentance. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent (Acts 17:30). God’s grace is sufficient for us, and there is no room for excuses. The Lord said, Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18). You may be hiding behind excuses, but you are not hiding from God. The devil is deceiving you just like he did the Romans.
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise [like in Noah’s day], they became fools [That is what happens when people will not accept the truth.], And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen (Romans 1:21-25). The Lord said these things would be in the last days, and those days are here.
A Vile Society
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet (Romans 1:26,27). Those who practice homosexuality will be damned unless they repent. There are people who are born that way; but as long as they don’t give over to it and practice it, they are not held responsible…and they can be delivered by the power of God.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (Romans 1:28). Practicing homosexuality and same-sex marriages are not according to the Bible. They are the spirit of the Antichrist, and our nation is being ruined by such things.
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers [gossips], Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud [false pride], boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents (Romans 1:29,30). There has never been a time when children have been more disobedient to their parents than now; and if parents try to punish their children, they can be taken to court.
Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them (Romans 1:31,32). Do you endorse any of these things? What do you allow in your home?
This is the most sobering hour and yet the most frivolous hour. You are either sober or you are drunk on the wine of the devil, saith the Lord. We have no time to waste. Jesus said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4). Jesus gave His whole life on the altar of sacrifice to finish the plan of God.
Blemishes of the Ephesians
In Ephesians, Paul tells of many blemishes. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:15). Some of you think that because you speak the truth, you are all right; but you are not all right if you do not speak in love. You should keep your mouth shut.
If you cannot control your tongue, you do not have salvation. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain (James 1:26). If you do not have the power to control your tongue, you are not under the control of the Holy Spirit; and you are not in the divine will of God. It is time to yield all to the Lord because you will not get rid of the blemishes unless you do what God is telling you. Some of these things I’m bringing to you are more than blemishes; they are all-out sins when you willfully do them, but God will help you to separate them.
You cannot fuss and argue your way to Heaven; and if you do that in your home, you must stop it. If your companion does not do right, you still must do right or you will go to hell and miss out on everything good. You will have been judged by Lord God Almighty, and it will be too late for you to change. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17).
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love (Ephesians 4:16). We are bone of His [the Lord’s] bone and flesh of His flesh when we are holy right. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Ephesians 5:30).
If we don’t accept discipline, we are not members of the Lord’s body; and we are not His children. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons (Hebrews 12:7,8).
Put Off the Old Man
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart (Ephesians 4:17,18). When you are saved, the soul is sealed with the blood. The devil cannot get into your soul unless you let him in, but he can get into your mind; and you must use the blood to put him to flight. God said mind battles would be the fieriest battles of your whole life; but when you belong to God, the devil has no right to talk to you, so you don’t have to listen to him.
Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness (Ephesians 4:19). Paul told the Ephesians that many of them were without feeling and had blasphemed against the Holy Ghost. Today, we are in the most lustful and greedy age that has ever been. Are you one of those who will take one more step and be doomed with no hope of eternal life?
But ye have not so learned Christ (Ephesians 4:20). Paul had taught those people a different way, and you are being taught a different way today. If so be that ye have heard him [Jesus], and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts [the blemishes, spots and wrinkles]; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Ephesians 4:21-23). You have to protect your mind through the blood.
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). You must be born again to have no spots and wrinkles. Then you have to use the righteousness and holiness of God by using the blood to get rid of all the blemishes.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another (Ephesians 4:25). Never say anything that will not edify one of your brothers or sisters in Christ Jesus. The Lord tells us six things we are to think on and use. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath (Ephesians 4:26). It is all right to get angry at the devil but not at people because that anger will destroy you. Why carry a grudge when you might not even know the truth about a situation? You have to stay close to God to treat anger in the right way, to have power over it and to use it against the devil.
Prayer and Fasting
Remember this: Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). That is a blemish, and you give place to the devil when you fail to pray and fast like you should. The Bible says, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). How often do you open the Bible? The Lord told me that prayer, fasting and living in the Word would keep a person on the straight and narrow; and mistreating and abusing any one of these three things will cause blemishes.
If you do not have family prayer with your children, it is a blemish. The Lord said this is the praying time for the Bride. You should want the Lord to walk and talk with you every day, and you should want to know that He hears every prayer you pray. You should praise the Lord in prayer, but blemishes will make you doubt and cause you to beg God.
Never pray like the Sadducees and Pharisees—they prayed long prayers because they wanted people to listen; but God didn’t listen, so they didn’t get results. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation (Matthew 23:14). Some of you, saith the Lord, don’t get the results you would get because of your long prayers.
Prayers are only good if they come from the heart, and the devil cannot stop anointed prayers. Jesus put up the blood line when He was here so our prayers could go straight through to Heaven. You can dart a prayer, and it will go to the throne of God; and the answer will come. We should not wait for an emergency to happen before we pray; we must be prayed up when the emergency comes. When we are always plugged in to Heaven, we can reach God at once.
Howbeit this [miracle] kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). The Lord does not tell you how long or how much you have to fast, but Paul said he was in fastings often (II Corinthians 11:27). This is a fasting ministry, and it is hard to tell how many fasts of as long as forty days there have been.
Never Rob God
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth (Ephesians 4:28). You have to be honest all the time or there will be blemishes.
Some of you rob God of His tithes, and you will not make it to Heaven by doing that. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8). The Lord said you are like a man trying to fill up a sack with holes in it. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes (Haggai 1:6). You are bringing things upon yourself, and you will be the loser.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). Some of you have a tongue that is too long, and you hang yourself with it again and again. God knows about it; and He said, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19). You have to turn your enemies over to God and leave them there.
Grieve Not the Spirit
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). You must have that seal until the day you are taken out of here; but if you do the wrong things, you will break that seal.
When you are late for church services or your work for God, you grieve the Holy Spirit; and that is a blemish. You are more interested in other things than you are in God, and you are not obedient. That dishonors God, and anything that dishonors God is a blemish; and blemishes turn into spots, wrinkles and actual sin.
Some people do not have a listening ear, and that causes blemishes. The Lord is calling you to come and dine, but how much do you hear Him say that? The Lord said seven times in Revelation, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). You grieve the Spirit when you do not listen to Him. He is to be your guide, and that means you have to follow Him because He is the leader. The Lord said it was necessary for each one of us to have the Leader living on the inside.
Some of you are so full of blemishes that you won’t seek the Holy Ghost. All of your blemishes affect your whole character, and you are ugly before God; and you need to get saved. There is no need to start seeking the Holy Ghost if you are not saved because you will not receive Him. Jesus said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). If you are hungry, you will tarry until you receive like the disciples did on the Day of Pentecost. Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).
You must be completely cleaned up from the world before you can receive the third person in the Trinity of the Godhead because He will not come in if your tongue is unclean. There are many evidences of the Holy Ghost baptism; but speaking in tongues is the initial, or first, evidence. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). You may say you have the Holy Ghost, but that is dangerous to say if He does not have you. If you will not listen to Him and let Him lead you and guide you, you will not get anywhere with God with only half a heart.
After Jesus had ascended back to Heaven, He returned and stayed for forty days and nights to teach the apostles about the Holy Ghost. The Bible says the Lord will give the Holy Ghost to them that obey Him. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32). How much of the Word do you obey? If you disobey God in anything, it is a blemish; so check yourself daily.
The Bride Is Beautiful
God makes people beautiful. He made Adam and Eve so beautiful and lovely, and He told them not to go to the tree of death. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:16,17).
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5). We were conceived in sin and had only ashes, which means death; but we did not realize it until Holy Ghost conviction seized our hearts. Then we went to Calvary and traded our ashes for beauty. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified (Isaiah 61:3).
God’s true people are the most beautiful people in the world today. Many of you are ready to walk down the Avenue of Glory as soon as we get the harvest in because you have vision. Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved (Song of Solomon 8:5)? It is the Bride; and she is free of all spots, wrinkles and blemishes. Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners (Song of Solomon 6:10)? The divine blood that went to Calvary is her banner and her strength. Her beauty is something to behold; and the Groom says to her, Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee (Song of Solomon 4:7).
The promise to get out of here is unto you. The Lord promised one of the seven churches that they would not be left, and you do not have to be left either. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth (Revelation 3:10).
God Expects Forgiveness
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice (Ephesians 4:31). Some of you have bitterness, and you bring it to church. You may rub shoulders with a saint of God and not even speak to that person; and if you do speak, you just growl. Your character is not right, and you are in bad shape. If you have a grudge, you will not go in the Rapture. The Lord is preparing and refining His glorious Bride to be without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any other such thing; and a grudge is a blemish.
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted (Ephesians 4:32). Some of you are not very kind, and you are always complaining. You may say you don’t like something about somebody, but have you ever considered the things that people don’t like about you? With the way you are acting, those things could fill a bag.
Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32). Some of you only have human forgiveness when you need to have divine forgiveness, and it is freely furnished to you. The Lord said that if you don’t forgive others, He won’t forgive you. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matthew 6:14,15).
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children [Notice the word “dear.”]; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour (Ephesians 5:1,2). We have to walk in love like Jesus did when He was on Earth; but you cannot walk in love unless you walk in grace, and you cannot walk in grace unless you walk in faith.
Get Rid of Foolishness
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints (Ephesians 5:3). Don’t talk about dirty stuff; you have to come out of that devilish, filthy world. If you like to listen to and laugh at smutty jokes, you don’t have what it takes to get out of here on the one flight out; and you have more than just blemishes. You have to be able to do some separating in your own life; and if you have the Holy Spirit, He will help you. If you don’t have Him, you have to get Him.
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient (Ephesians 5:4). When you listen to shady jokes and laugh at them, you become a part of them; and the Holy Spirit is grieved. Jesus never would have acted like that, and He said you would have to give an account for every foolish word. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36).
But rather giving of thanks (Ephesians 5:4). You are to have a thankful heart and always be ready to praise God. I am full of praise day and night. I sing choruses and have a great time blessing the Lord. If I don’t get every note right, that doesn’t make any difference to God. He said, Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands (Psalm 66:1). Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD (Psalm 150:6). As long as you have breath, you are to praise the Lord. Many saints of God have even died praising the Lord.
Be Not Deceived
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God (Ephesians 5:5). These people will have no inheritance, but those who are right are co-workers with Christ and will share equally in the inheritance with the Son of God. You will never find greater love than that, and that love belongs to us.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience (Ephesians 5:6). The Bible says that if the righteous scarcely are saved, where will the disobedient appear? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear (I Peter 4:18)? It is a narrow escape that the righteous will make, and you cannot get ready at the last minute. Some of you are too busy to take time with God, and you are going to find yourself too busy to make the one flight out. Some of you will be sprawled out at the altar screaming, “Come back, Jesus! Come back!” But He won’t come back for you. You will be in the great Tribulation Period that Jesus told about. Except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved (Matthew 24:22).
Isaiah prophesied that the Lord would turn the whole Earth upside down. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again (Isaiah 24:20). Many people will be burned up, and there will be few men left. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left (Isaiah 24:6). God said that the Earth as we know it today will never rise again.
This World Is Degraded
God has had just about enough, and He can hardly stand America anymore. We are no longer a Christian nation. There are more ungodly people than holy people in America, and it is from Washington D.C. on down. It is no wonder that we are in such an awful condition. Many have false gods, and they bring those teachings to others. They hate Jesus Christ, and they don’t even want their children to sing Christmas carols.
So many today are like those in the seventh church in Revelation, and the Lord really let those people know what He thought of them. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see (Revelation 3:15-18). When God gets enough of all of this, the Bible plainly tells us, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God [when He is angry] (Hebrews 10:31).
Just one little thread of life keeps you on this Earth; and when you are out of the will of God, that thread can be clipped at any time. Then you will not die at the moment God has planned for you to die; but when you are living in the will of God, the devil cannot kill you. You will live until God says it is time for you to go.
Have No Fellowship with Darkness
Be not ye therefore partakers with them (Ephesians 5:7). Some of you have friends who are sinners, and you talk to them a lot; but that is mixing darkness with light, and the Lord said that would not work. You would not be doing that if you didn’t have blemishes, saith the Lord; and you can catch blemishes from people who are not right. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness (II Corinthians 6:14)? How can you fellowship with darkness and claim light? Don’t you know that light always penetrates darkness? If you are in a dark room and light one little match, it will penetrate the darkness so you can see for the moment.
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8). You have to walk in that light, saith the Lord; and if you don’t, it will become darkness to you.
When Jesus came, those who sat in darkness saw great light. The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up (Matthew 4:16). If you have no spots and wrinkles and go on to get rid of the blemishes, you will be the light of the world in this final hour. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid (Matthew 5:14).
You Must Have Spiritual Fruit
For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth (Ephesians 5:9). That verse should make your day if you have the divine fruit that comes with the Holy Ghost. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance [or self-control]: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22,23). Without the fruit of the Spirit, you will not be on the one flight out, saith the Lord.
Without the fruit of self-control, you will let your temper run away with you; and you will use it on people instead of on the devil. I had the worst temper in my family, but God did not take my temper away when I got saved; and the Lord doesn’t want to deliver you of your temper either. He wants you to yield to the Holy Spirit and use it on the devil.
I use my temper on the devil, and that is why God can use me to cast out devils and to deliver people from the clutches of Satan; but God can’t deliver people who don’t want to be delivered. People will come into my healing line and want a miracle, but they don’t want to be delivered from the devils that bind them; so God cannot help them.
God never forces people to take His help. Salvation is freely given, but that fools a lot of people. They think it is not worth much when it is worth more than all the silver and gold in the world—and they will know that when it is too late, and they are in hell.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11). When you are talking to sinners, the devil sees to it that they tell you lies; and you will believe them. They could tell you lies about somebody in the church and cause you to fail God over it.
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man (Genesis 6:3). Some of you do not believe that verse because you have too many blemishes. You are not interested in serving God like you should, living holy or receiving the Holy Ghost; so you are just about doomed. Some of you have gone so far that you could blaspheme at any time.
Put Self Down
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24). Have you crucified the flesh? When your eyes see something that is not lawful or holy, do you turn away from it at once; or do you feast your eyes on it and would like to partake of it if you had a chance? If so, then you have sinned against God willingly.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). If you are living in the Spirit today, you are walking in the light. Jesus came and brought light, and there will be no shadows of death for those who accept that light.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another (Galatians 5:26). Some of you envy those in the church who appear on the stage, sing or play an instrument more than you do; but that is not right. If you really saw them as your brothers and sisters in the Lord, you would be proud of them and not have false pride in yourself.
Paul tells us, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man [woman, boy or girl] soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7). If you sow to the wind, you will reap the whirlwind; and then there is no way out. You can sell your soul to the devil if you want to, but you have just one soul to sell. When it is gone, you have nothing else that God can cleanse. All of the spots, wrinkles and blemishes must go, saith the Lord; there cannot be one left.
Under the Law, a sacrifice had to be free of all blemishes or it was rejected. And he [Moses] said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD. And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering (Leviticus 9:2,3). The sacrifice was a type of Christ, the One who would come to die for all; and God would not accept that sacrifice with one blemish.
If you have blemishes, you will face God on the charge of Calvary, on the charge that you helped drive more nails into His Son’s flesh and on the charge that you gave Jesus vinegar to drink again and again. Without holiness, you will not even be able to look upon God’s face. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
The Armor of God
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10,11). You have to put on the whole armor just like you put on your clothes; but some of you don’t have it on, and you are carrying things in your spirit that you shouldn’t. I carry the will of God; and when problems come, I wait for the Lord to give me what to say or I don’t say anything.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). The devil is in full force in this final hour, yet some of you go around without God’s armor trying to live for God; and it cannot be done.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). This final hour is the evil day; so no matter what happens in your family or among your friends, you must stand. That was what my mother did when she went into holiness and received the Holy Ghost. Her people would have been more pleased if she had been arrested for something, and they talked as if she had committed an awful crime; but Mama didn’t care. She had found what she had been looking for. God used my mama in so many ways to make me the person I am today, and He can help you mothers, too, if you will stand with the whole armor of God.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14). We received nothing but truth in our home. Mother and Daddy never told one of us a lie. When they said something, good or bad, it was like God had spoken it. We were taught to honor God, and that means to fear God.
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:15,16). So why do you get down? I never let the devil get me down. I throw up the shield of faith, and his darts fall at my feet.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Use the Word on the devil. Don’t argue with him because he will out-debate you, and you are not supposed to let him talk to you in the first place.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18). Some people think that means praying in tongues, but that is not what Paul was talking about. Those who think that are people who believe in talking in tongues at will.
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:19). The Lord has definitely done that for me.
What Blemishes Do You Have?
You must do God’s work with your whole heart, soul, mind and body if you really love Him and want to please Him. You cannot give just a part of yourself to God. What if the Lord would have sent only a part of Jesus and just rescued you part of the way? If you would have had to do the rest yourself, how far would you have gotten?
What kind of spirit do you have today? Are you indifferent? What kinds of characteristics and traits do you have? Are they like Jesus? You are either in or you are out, saith the Lord. You will have to straighten up or the Lord will push you out of His way, and He has already pushed many people out. Stop all of your foolishness and put God first, and you will if you get rid of the blemishes. They are robbers, and they are dangerous.
You must have the first love you received at Calvary, and nothing will ever match that first love; but some of you have lost it. In the beginning, you were ready to do anything God wanted you to do; but now you make so many excuses.
We have to be like Jesus. As a man, He showed us what to do to please God; and when Enoch and Elijah pleased God, the Lord took them to Heaven alive. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God (Hebrews 11:5). And it came to pass, as they [Elijah and Elisha] still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven (II Kings 2:11). Remember, our witness is in Heaven, so it does not matter what family or friends think about us. Some of them may have different thoughts about you after you are raptured.
Jesus came to Earth and proved that you have to have the Holy Ghost to be able to do everything right, and the Spirit led Him into the wilderness to fast for forty days and nights. Afterward, He was in the temple saying, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me (Luke 4:18). Can you say that today?
You need God’s anointing to do His work, and it shows up when you do not have it. It comes out in your voice, and it has to stop. I take a fresh anointing to do whatever God wants done; and if you have the Holy Ghost within, it is easy for Him to anoint you. If you get rid of the blemishes, you will have the vision of Jesus; and you will do whatever God wants of you to get the Gospel to the world.
Keep Your Promises
If ye abide in me, and my words [my promises] abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). It shall be done because you will be directed by the Holy Spirit, and you will pray in the divine will of God. At the end of my prayers, I can always say, “Father, you always hear me.” Jesus said that so you wouldn’t doubt your prayer life. Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42).
The Lord will be there for you when you pray and mean business; but never pray foolish prayers, and never tell God anything that you will not live up to. A sinner will do that when he gets in a close place; but he won’t mean it, and he will not keep what he tells God.
God keeps every one of His promises, but they are conditional. Do you ever wonder why God doesn’t answer your prayers? If so, ask yourself if you have met the condition of the promise that you want granted. It is not Heaven’s fault when one of your prayers is not answered. The Lord said if we would delight ourselves in Him, He would give us the desires of our heart. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4). When you obey the Lord and delight in His Word and in the things of God, you are walking in God’s divine will. Then He will give you the desires of your heart and even beyond because He loves you with an everlasting love.
How good are your promises? If your word is no good, then you are no good. If you promise to pay somebody for something and then fail to do that, you will not make it to Heaven. If you are unable to pay what you promised, let people know; but there is no need to do that if they can see that you are spending the money you promised them on unnecessary things. You will never get rid of the blemishes like that.
There are more blemishes, but this will give you a good start. Thus saith the Lord, my Spirit warneth thee; my Spirit is trying to teach thee. Your days are numbered, so don’t waste them. Your time is limited, so redeem it.
We are climbing the highest mountain now; the mountain peaks are ours, saith the Lord. We are mountain climbers, and we must climb no matter what. Everyone has to do his or her own climbing, so you can’t stay behind with anybody or take anybody with you. If you get all the blemishes out, no person or thing can hinder you. Through love, faith and grace, we will make it. We will show love to others and to each other so people will know that we are the Lord’s disciples. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35).
Give God Your Whole Heart
If you are not positive that you have been born new, I want you to say the sinners’ prayer today: Oh, God, I have waited so long, but I am not going to wait any longer and lose my soul. I know I have read the truth, and this may be my last chance. Oh, Lord, have mercy upon me! I confess my sins, and I am so sorry, Lord, that I have sinned against you. Save my soul and forgive me, Lord, and I will serve you and do your holy will for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!
If you meant that prayer, He has come. Now, you can say, Hallelujah! I am born new. I will fast, pray and live in the holy Word of God; and I will see you in Heaven one day, Jesus. I will take those nail-riven hands that were nailed to the Cross for me, and I will kneel humbly at your nail-riven feet. I will glorify God the Father for sending you, and I will glorify you for dying for me. I love you, Jesus.
Do you want to be delivered from all blemishes today? Then pray, Oh, Lord, cleanse me. If I have one blemish, reveal it to me, Lord; I want to know. I will gladly give it up. I hate it, and I want to get rid of it. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, I pray. If you meant that prayer, the Holy Ghost will help you to get rid of all your blemishes.
Receive Your Deliverance
Now, the Lord is saying, “Come and get your miracles.” I am not your healer; Jesus is the healer. I cannot operate God’s gifts in my life; the Holy Spirit operates them through me through prayer, fasting and living in the Holy Word.
Lord, here are the sick and afflicted. Some have AIDS, diabetes, heart trouble, lung trouble or paralysis; and some have had strokes. Lord, you have given a whole brain to so many deformed children who were born with just part of a brain. Heal those children, and heal the grown people. Heal! in the name of Jesus. You came with healing in your wings.
Now, watch yourself get well, but you must give God all the glory. Then write and let me know what happened to you so I can rejoice with you and help you praise the Lord for your miracle.
You who were saved, hold on to God and go on to receive the fullness of the Spirit like they did on the Day of Pentecost. If you cannot find a church where they teach the real baptism of the Spirit, you can get the Holy Ghost right in your own home. Just praise the Lord until the Holy Ghost comes in and fills you to the brim; He will do it. The promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:39).
The Holy Ghost comes in through the spirit of praise. I love to use the word “glory” because that gives Jesus all the praise. Say “glory” until the Holy Ghost takes over your tongue and speaks according to Acts 2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. I pray that you will be filled with the Holy Ghost and be ready for the one flight out.
I’ll see you in the Rapture!
