Jesus is the master surgeon, and He is the only one who can perform masterful surgery. Jesus said to a man who needed healing for his son, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). He said to a man who had not walked in thirty-eight years, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked (John 5:8,9).

Divine, masterful surgery gave that man a miracle, and no one else but Jesus could have done that. All the physicians on Earth put together could not have performed that kind of masterful surgery, but Jesus just said the words; and the man stood up healed. That is the Christ you can have today. He must be your Savior, your physician, your healer and your all in all.

Jesus Healed the Blind

And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth (John 9:1). That man had felt God’s sunshine, but he had never seen it. Jesus spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6,7).

Through masterful surgery, Jesus gave that man sight. No doctor can perform surgery like Him. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing (John 9:32,33).

Jesus also healed blind Bartimaeus. Blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way (Mark 10:46,47,49-52).

Masterful Surgery Healed a Leper

And there came a leper to him [Jesus], beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed (Mark 1:40-42). That leper had great faith in Jesus.

At that time, people shunned lepers. They were forced to wear a warning bell around their necks; and they had to cry out, “Leper, leper” to anyone who came near. But that man believed Jesus for healing, and he was immediately cleansed.

Jesus warned the man to tell no one about his miracle because He knew people would be afraid of him when they heard he had been a leper. Some may have tried to throw rocks at him or even kill him, but that man wasn’t afraid. And he [Jesus] straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter (Mark 1:43-45). That man was willing to pay the price for deliverance, and he boldly told everyone. He wasn’t meaning to be disobedient to Jesus; he just wanted everyone to know what a wonderful thing had happened to him.

Masterful surgery can make you an evangelist at once, and many in that day witnessed about the miraculous Christ. People even traveled into the desert to find Jesus; and with great love and grace, He performed miracles. What wonderful hands that man called Jesus had—hands that were nailed to the Cross to deliver us from sin and sickness. The power and greatness still flow from His hand to us. Jesus is our physician.

Multitudes Flocked to Jesus

And when they [Jesus and the disciples] were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him [Jesus] And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was. And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole (Mark 6:54-56). People recognized the masterful surgery Jesus was performing, and they flocked to Him wherever He went. They didn’t understand all about it, but they knew it worked.

Let the miraculous Jesus bring healing to you, too. He has been made nigh to you through His shed blood, and He has given you the faith you need to reach out and touch Him. Then He will perform His masterful surgery.

Jesus was always on duty and reaching out to touch people wherever He could, and they were made whole. One time, He heard two blind men cry out in faith. And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him (Matthew 20:30-34). Jesus had great compassion for those men, and He healed them.

Why was that great multitude of people following Jesus?—because they saw the masterful surgery He performed. Never before had they seen such deliverances. Jesus wants people to follow Him and honor Him today, too, because He has so much compassion for them. Do you believe in His compassion and mercy? Do you believe He really loves and cares for you? If so, reach out for His touch; and give God the glory for the miracle you receive.

God heals, but He must have the glory. Man cannot take credit for the healing of the Lord. I have never taken credit for any of God’s healings or miracles. I always give the Lord all the glory because I know it belongs to Him. I have always feared that people wouldn’t give the Lord all the glory He deserves, so I do my best to stay hidden behind the Cross and say, “Jesus is the healer. Praise Him and give Him the honor and glory.”

The Church Became Careless

Jesus purchased the Church with His own blood; and in the beginning, the disciples went forth with great zeal and faith. After Jesus was resurrected and just before He ascended to Heaven, Jesus told the disciples, And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49).

The disciples obeyed, and they went to the Upper Room and received that power of the Holy Ghost; and in that power, they had the same love and compassion Jesus had. The gifts of the Spirit worked through them, and the power of Jesus flowed to the people; and they were healed. That wonderful era lasted for about thirty-three years, and then weeds began to creep in.

Paul started to notice wrong things appearing in the Corinthian church; and he said, For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you (I Corinthians 11:18). He also told them of their failure to rightly discern Christ as their Passover Lamb. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep (I Corinthians 11:27-30). Some of those people died ahead of their time because they didn’t properly discern the Lord’s body and recognize their Passover Lamb.

The Israelites Were Made Whole

While in Egypt, the Israelites recognized the delivering power in the Passover lamb when they ate the lamb’s body, a type and shadow of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross for our salvation and deliverance. Then all those nearly four million people walked out of Egypt healed. The Psalmist wrote that God brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes (Psalm 105:37).

The Israelites were poor slaves whose individual lives were unimportant to the Egyptians. They were so mistreated and uncared for that one ancient historian reported they had worn off the ends of their fingers making bricks for Pharaoh. When God brought them out of Egypt, I believe He not only healed them but also re-created parts of their bodies. That is why there was not one feeble person among them—none were blind, crippled or diseased.

Just as the Lord moved in a mighty way to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt, He has wonderful things in store for the Bride in this final hour. As the bridal company members come together to form one powerful army under the blood-stained banner of Jesus, they will be full of God’s greatness and a terror to the devil. Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners (Song of Solomon 6:10)?

The Acceptable Year of the Lord

All the promises of God are for the obedient today, and we owe them all to the man called Jesus and His redeeming work. At Calvary, He bore our sicknesses as well as our sins. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Jesus came to preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:19). All these 2000 years of the Church Age should have been years of freedom, liberty and deliverance as the gifts of the Spirit worked in perfection in the body of Christ at all times. The nine fruits of the Spirit should have been evident among God’s people, and they should have walked in the divine will of God just like Jesus did.

This world would be a different place if the Church had not failed. Unfortunately, the devil has caused many people to fail, starting with the first Adam and the first Eve. God’s people cannot fail in this last hour. God must have people who will obey Him and trust Him without murmuring and complaining. They must act like Jesus, talk like Jesus and take on His mind. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).

This acceptable year of the Lord is the dispensation of the Holy Spirit, and man has lived in that great dispensation since Pentecost; but it’s about to come to an end. The early rain of the Spirit began to fall at Pentecost, and lasted for the first thirty-three years of the Church Age; but as the years passed, people did not remain as dedicated as they should have, and the light of God went almost completely out.

Now, we are living in the latter rain of the Holy Spirit, and divine power and greatness are being poured out all over the Earth. This rain of the Holy Spirit will continue to get greater and greater until Jesus comes to take His Bride home.

Act on the Word

They brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses (Matthew 8:16,17). Jesus cast out spirits with the spoken Word; and when you speak the Word of God, it will work for you, too.

Using faith is knowing and acting on God’s Word, and you must use faith to claim God’s promises. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). God’s promises will flow to you when you know and act on His Word instead of your feelings. I use the spoken Word, and devils flee; the blind receive their sight, and the deaf hear. Jesus brought masterful surgery for our physical healing. What are you going to do with it? You have to take on the mind of Christ and see as He sees, say what He would say and do what He would do. If God said it, then act it out. That is using faith.

Having a renewed mind and the right mental attitude about the Word of God are vital. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2). You will receive a mind that is renewed in all the greatness of God when you take on the mind of Christ, and a renewed mind proves what the perfect will of God is.

So many people don’t know what the will of God is for them, but the Bride will know; and she will live in it. You must live in the will of God before it can be produced in your life, and then you must serve it to others. If you don’t live in the perfect will of God yourself, you will never be able to convince others to accept it.

The Seed of the Word

Jesus taught the people saying, Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty (Matthew 13:18-23).

The sower sowed the seed, but the harvest depended on what kind of soil the seed landed in. The seed of the Word is for everyone, but how many prepare the soil of their souls to receive it as God intends them to?

For the seed of God’s Word to grow, you must have the right kind of soul and mind. The seed that falls on stony ground, by the wayside or among thorns will not produce because it is not sown in the right place. The hearts of many people today have poor soil and lack depth; so when trials and temptations come and the sun bears down hot with persecutions, the seed is ruined. But the seed that lands in a pure and clean soul and in a fertile mind filled with the goodness of the Lord will bear much fruit.

Some people make more preparations to meet a friend for lunch than they do to meet with the Lord and study His Word. Don’t ever sit down with the Word unless you are properly prepared. The Word is the most valuable possession you have because it contains all the knowledge of God that you need for life’s journey. Only through the Word will you receive the knowledge of God’s love, faith and will for you.

Only Good Seed Grows

I learned about planting seeds as a boy growing up on the farm. We knew that Dad kept only the best seeds for planting. His expert eye examined them closely to decide which ones were in prime condition to produce and bear life. Then Dad planted those seeds just right, and he taught us children how to do that; and he checked our work.

Dad knew exactly how each seed needed to be planted for it to be able to take root, and there were times when we just didn’t bury them deep enough. Also, we didn’t dare eat or destroy any of the seeds Dad needed for planting. Those seeds had to be protected so they could be buried into the soil and bring forth life.

Eternal life is in the seed of the Word of God; and in that Word, you will find the seed of divine love, grace, holiness and righteousness. You will find the seed of longsuffering and all the greatness of God available to you through Jesus Christ. Jesus was the Word made flesh, and God sent that Word to you. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (John 1:14). The Word is the seed, and in the Word is everything you need.

Be a Good Sower

You must be sure that the seed you plant is the good seed that comes from God. The seed of the Word reveals that it is God’s will to heal people and give them freedom from sickness. Know the seed, the truth in the Word; and what a great harvest that seed produces!

You cannot plant the Word until you know it, understand it, receive it and trust it to grow. Just reading the Word of God is not the same as planting it. You may think you are planting that seed in your spirit; but if you are only reading the Word and not studying it, you are not planting that seed in your heart, and you may even be planting weeds without knowing it.

All too often, people sow weeds in their minds rather than the truth of God. At other times, they are in too much of a hurry to plant the Word of God in their minds and hearts correctly. They may open the Bible, but they only read it in a superficial manner. A person can read the whole Bible and not plant one seed of it in his spirit.

Whether or not you receive from the Word depends on your mental attitude. That is why when you plant the Word in your mind, you must know it is true. You also have to know what is in it. You have to study the Word, receive it, plant it in your heart and trust it to grow. You don’t keep checking to see if it is sprouting when you trust it.

When Dad planted seed that he trusted, he knew how long it would take before the plants would start to come up. He also knew their growth depended on the right amount of rain and sun, the right soil and the care he gave them.

Trust the Word

If you don’t trust the seed of the Word completely, you are not watering it; and the Word will not bring forth what God promised if you don’t properly care for it. You have to know what the Word says, not what someone else thinks about it. Then you must receive it before you can use it in the right way. You have to know God’s Word is real, receive it, plant it and water it with steadfast trust.

That trust comes through faith; and if your faith wavers, you will not receive. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord (James 1:6,7). All too often, people read the Bible with wavering faith; so the seed is not planted. They don’t have any reality in the Word, so they don’t understand that it is just like God Himself speaking those words to them. However, the Word is just that powerful and great.

Salvation comes by faith and by trusting the will of God; and you must know it is God’s will to save you before you can be saved. That knowledge must be planted in your spirit. At times, the Word uses parables to teach God’s deepness. He doesn’t want you to think He is complicated or keep Him at arm’s length without ever allowing Him to move in close to you. You are made nigh to Him through the blood of Jesus when you are born again. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).

Healed by the Blood

Many people are not healed because they don’t know healing is God’s will. He said to the Israelites, I am the Lord that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). He would not have said that if it was not His will to heal. Jesus is your great physician, so use His name to receive what you need because there is great power when you speak His name in all faith. Then devils flee and sicknesses leave.

Do not try to separate salvation and physical healing because receiving a healing is like salvation for your body, so healing is for both body and soul. Paul said, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).

The word “saved” is from the Greek word “sozo,” which means to be healed or saved from sickness. To truly confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you must have knowledge of what you are confessing and believing. You must get the soil of your soul ready to receive through the blood so you can receive God’s Word the right way. God has mercy upon the honest hearted because His seed can find lodging in the heart of a person who yearns to know God and receive Jesus. When the blood covers a soul and washes away all the sin, the soil of that soul is then prepared to hear all that God has said.

On Calvary, Jesus not only took our sins upon Himself but also our sicknesses. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). Jesus didn’t bring just part of an atonement; He brought the full atonement—healing for soul, mind and body.

The Bible says Jesus, our great physician, will even destroy death. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (I Corinthians 15:26). We have inherited much through Jesus, but not until our last enemy, death, is conquered will we come into our full inheritance. Death will have no more power over us because the Bible says, Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14).

Faith Brings Results

When Jesus was here, He met a centurion who was not saved, meaning he was not of the household of faith; but he accepted Jesus as the true Son of God, and Jesus found great faith in him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour (Matthew 8:8-10,13).

That centurion thought he was not worthy of Jesus coming under his roof; but he had so much faith that he knew if Jesus would just say the word, his servant would be healed. And that is exactly what happened. He received the spoken Word, and his great faith amazed Jesus.

The Seed of the Word Produces

When you receive the Word, you will get results; but the Word must get on the inside of you and become a part of your spirit, your mind and soul. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). You can ask what you will only if the Word lives in you. God’s Word is living seed, and it produces.

The Word performs masterful surgery; so let it come to life and work on the inside of you to heal your soul, mind and body. When the Word works on the inside, it produces the great love and goodness of the Lord.

The Bible says, He [God] sent his word [Jesus], and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). The Word heals and delivers, and people need that Word. Just as the flesh needs food to nurture it, so does the soul. Do you believe the Word? It has all the power Jesus demonstrated when He was here; but if you want the Word to work for you, you must transplant it from book form into reality in your mind and heart.

When John the Baptist was imprisoned and facing death, he sent some of his disciples to ask Jesus if He was really Christ, the Messiah. He also asked if he, John, was really the forerunner of Christ. Now, John had seen the Holy Ghost descend upon Jesus when he baptized Him. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him (John 1:32). So John really knew Jesus was the Son of God, but he had been through so much and suffered such horrible mistreatment in prison that he just wanted assurance one more time that Jesus was the Christ.

Jesus understood why John was asking those questions; and he told John’s disciples, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached (Luke 7:22). When John heard that, he must have rejoiced; and with that knowledge, John was ready to die.

All the things Jesus did were freely done. Freely, the great Gospel was offered to all. That is why the Bible says, And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). Anyone who wants to can come and receive deliverance from sin and sickness.

Don’t let what the world thinks affect you. Their thoughts and opinions should be the least of your worries. Only what God thinks about you counts, and He knows the ones who belong to Him.

Jesus Heals in Many Ways

When Jesus was on Earth, He healed people in many different ways; and that showed He was the Master of everything. No matter how He moved or what He did, miracles took place. Jesus used no medicines because He was greater than all the medicines found in nature. Of course, all medicine comes from God anyway. He is the one who put healing in nature, and He gives man the wisdom to take it from nature and use it for our good; but the power of Jesus is greater than all of that.

Jesus was God manifested in the flesh, and I marvel at Him. The Bible tells us of how He gave a deaf man hearing and speech. And they bring unto him [Jesus] one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain (Mark 7:32-35). That was masterful surgery.

What medical doctor could spit on his finger and heal a person? And if a doctor tried to do that to you, you probably would never want to see him again; but that man’s miracle really happened. The man who was once deaf and dumb could hear and speak plainly because he was healed by the miracle power of God.

With great faith, a woman who had suffered with an issue of blood for twelve years just touched the hem of Jesus’ garment; and Jesus said, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague (Mark 5:34).

There were other times when Jesus just spoke, and the miracle was done. So no matter what way the Lord chooses to heal you, don’t limit God. People can hinder themselves from receiving a miracle when they think it has to take place a certain way.

Miracles Come from Heaven

I pray for people in the way God moves on me to. Sometimes, He tells me to just speak to them; sometimes He tells me to touch them, and sometimes He tells me to put my fingers in a person’s ears. God has given me His gift of healing, so I can touch a person in the name of Jesus; and the Lord brings healing. I am not the healer; I am just a servant of the Lord He uses to perform His masterful surgery.

Through the divine blood of Jesus, the miracles of masterful surgery come. We can take no credit for God’s miracles because they are from divinity, not man. They are the greatness of God. Divinity comes only from Heaven, and the Lord has made the children of God partakers of this wonderful, divine nature. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature (II Peter 1:4).

Only masterful surgery from On High can heal a broken heart and deliver captives from sickness and sin. Jesus said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18,19). Jesus came to Earth on a great mission, but it is now our mission. If you have promised the Lord you will help Him take the Gospel to the world, you have taken on the same responsibility Jesus had.

Speak No Idle Words

You must be careful what you say, and check every opinion you have with the Word of God before you share it. Jesus said, Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:36,37). Most people tend to speak more idle words than words of edification. We have no record of Jesus ever speaking one idle word when He was here. Some people let their idle words freely flow; but when their words cause a problem, they say they didn’t mean anything by them.

Peter cut off a man’s ear in the Garden of Gethsemane, and he was angry when Jesus performed a miracle and put it back on the man. Even after the soldiers who were there that night had witnessed that great miracle of masterful surgery, they arrested Jesus and crucified Him. When people have the devil in them, nothing will stop them unless they want to be stopped; and they won’t recognize God’s miracles even when they take place right before their eyes. People have to believe God for little things before they can accept big things.

Face the truth about your loved ones, and especially those with hardened hearts. You cannot help them receive freedom unless you do. If they’re lost and they die that way, they will end up in hell. When I have to preach the funeral of one who has died lost, I don’t say that person is in Heaven; but I do tell those who are left that they had better not go to hell. If the Lord moves on me, I will use this scripture: And in hell he lift up his eyes (Luke 16:23).

You will not have the reality and truth you need until you face and accept the whole Word of God. Without the Word, there is no true reality of Heaven or hell. When the Word has not been planted in your heart, you can’t trust it.

Only steadfast faith brings results. You must decide, “If God said it, I believe it.” Don’t seek the opinions of others; seek the Word, and stand on what God has said. The Word of God is where you receive the knowledge you need. When Christ’s masterful surgery takes you over, it will bring you out of any doubt and put you into a state of faith.

All Things Are Possible

When Jesus was here, He was always healing someone, going to heal someone or coming from healing someone. Deliverance for soul, mind and body was His mission. For he [Jesus] had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues. And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him (Mark 3:10,11). But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities (Luke 5:15).

Whether people were healed or not, the power of God was present to heal them if they believed. And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them (Luke 5:17). Why would anyone doubt the God who made them, and refuse His healing power for the body He created?

A woman who had a young daughter with an unclean spirit heard of Jesus, and she came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter (Mark 7:26-29). Jesus was letting us know that healing is the children’s bread.

That mother humbled herself so low before Jesus, and He lifted her up and gave her the whole loaf—complete deliverance. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed (Mark 7:30). That was masterful surgery.

Jesus said, Ask [according to God’s divine will], and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened (Matthew 7:7,8). Following these steps is easier than going to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled. You only have to ask, but your faith can’t waver. Let me remind you again that Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Every word in the English language that ends with “eth” means to continue, so you can’t just believe; you have to continue to believe.

Everyone who asks in the right way can receive. If you abide in the Word and the Word abides in you, you can receive; so abide in Jesus, and let His Word live in you.

Let me remind you that you have to know the Word, plant it in your heart, water it with trust and it will bring forth all that God has promised. Seek in faith and don’t beg. God’s faith has dignity, so people can stand up in the dignity of God when they are full of faith.

Prepare to Receive

You have to really hear what the Word says, but some people can’t seem to stay quiet long enough to do that. They may read it long enough to have their ears tickled, but they don’t study it. God called me to preach His Gospel, and I teach people what the Word says. I’m full of the promises of God because I spend much time with the Word. If you want healing, you have to spend time to know where it comes from; and you have to prepare to receive. Accept all of the Word, and don’t run off in the middle of your masterful surgery.

Some years ago, a hitchhiker saw the lights of Grace Cathedral; and he walked into the service. When I called for the healing line, he came for prayer. I asked him if he was saved or smoked; and he answered, “If I had known I would have to answer all this, I never would have come in here.”

Many people act that same way when the Lord starts working on them—they wouldn’t have presented themselves to the Lord if they had known all they would have to face. You can’t act that way. If you want masterful surgery from Jesus, you must realize that your life is the Lord’s business. When you hold grudges, they will stand between you and God. Spirits of frustration and anger tie God’s hands, and He can’t do for you what He wants to.

The Lord wants you to clean up before you present yourself to Him for healing. You need to get rid of all the anger, strife, envy, confusion or anything else that is unlike God; but when self is too strong to let go of those things, God cannot move for you in any great way. Then you will miss your masterful surgery.

Get Rid of Self

I was sick and dying when I was just twenty-three. I knew I had been living close to God, and I knew I was ready to die. I knew God couldn’t find one sin in my life. I had walked before Him with a perfect heart in His love since the day I was saved. I had no condemnation, so I didn’t understand why God wasn’t healing me.

That was a very trying time; but then one day, the Lord Himself came and healed me all over. He had no trouble performing masterful surgery because I was ready for it. God had not one thing to hold against me. He had been preparing me for the Master’s use. He had made me ready to receive the gifts of the Spirit and had prepared me to make any sacrifice necessary to go to the ends of the Earth so others could have deliverance. I was ready to preach the whole Word, believe it all and act on it.

If you are sick today, it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong in your life; but you must always check to make sure there is nothing between you and God. Go to Galatians and read the seventeen works of the flesh. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). You have to get rid of anything that would keep you from receiving masterful surgery.

Yield to God to receive true salvation and get rid of the grudges, resentment, bitterness, envy, strife, rebellion and anger. If you let those things come back and linger after you have received Christ, they will rob you of your salvation. Many have lost out with God because they let things back into their lives that stood between them and God. The good Lord had saved them, but they didn’t hold on to that salvation. You must hold to the things of God and get rid of self to be ready for masterful surgery.

Live in the Word

Listen closely to the Word of God and recognize it to be the seed from Heaven you need. Carefully examine its seeds of salvation, faith and deliverance. The seed of the Word has all the power of Jehovah God and His Son, and it has all the greatness of the Godhead. The Word carries it all, but it must be used in the right way. Misusing the promises of God makes them ineffective in your life.

Some people promise God they will serve Him and do anything for Him, but they don’t. They may humble themselves at first; but later, they become stubborn and selfish, and they won’t walk the path of Jesus’ humility He wants them to walk. There isn’t enough humility in the flesh to enable a person to walk the Jesus path. It takes divine humility, one of the fruits of the Spirit, to have the things of God and see His promises fulfilled in your life.

Examine yourself to see if you are in a condition to be healed. Are you living in the Word; and if so, how much of it is in action in your life? Are you living in the holiness and righteousness of God and free from all sin, or does sin still have dominion over you? The Word says that if the Son [or the Word] therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). You must walk hand in hand with Jesus every day.

Masterful Surgery for the Soul

If you believe the Word concerning salvation but you don’t yet have it in your soul, pray with me now. Oh, God, I am lost! I am so sorry I sinned against you, but I have come home; and I’m going to serve you with all of my heart for the rest of my life. I believe in the Word of the living God. I know that Jesus Christ died for me, and I believe His blood washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come. Now start serving the Lord in prayer, fasting and living in His Word.

Masterful Surgery for the Body

Serving the Lord makes you eligible for masterful surgery; so if you need a miracle today, reach out for it. Know the written Word that says, But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2). Accept the seed of the Word; examine it; know it and expect its fruit to manifest in your life.

Will you accept the seed of the Word for your physical healing? Never forget that the seed of the Word has healing not just for the soul but also for the mind and body. Plant that seed in your heart and water it with steadfast trust.

Be unmovable in accepting the promises of God, the One who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:3). Believe His divine promises and plant them in your heart. Then make sure they have the right soil to grow in so they can spring forth for you in living reality just as a beautiful flower comes forth from its seed. That is an amazing miracle of nature, but the miracle of healing is greater.

The manifestation of the miraculous power of God springs forth through His faith; and by the masterful surgery of Jesus, the blind receive their sight, the deaf hear and the cripples are made to walk.

Many people have been healed by the power of Jesus in this ministry. A man testified that he was healed while watching my television program. He was lost, and he was crippled; and while his wife was at church one Sunday morning, he tuned in to the ministry’s television program. When I prayed for the sick, he crawled over to the television and reached up his hand; and he was made whole. When his wife returned home, she no longer had a crippled husband.

Remember that God heals in many ways, and He can heal you right now. What a Redeemer! Pray with me now if you need healing. Lord, I bring the sick and afflicted to you. I have given them your Word; and if they will accept it, it will produce. From your supernatural gifts of healing and miracles, it comes in the name of your Son, Jesus. Heal! Heal! in the holy name of Jesus.

The healing power is now flowing to you, so be made well. If you will accept the Word as I have given it to you, God’s healing power will work in your body. Jesus, the Master Surgeon, will get you well. Behold the only one who can perform masterful surgery—Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
