For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons [and daughters] of God (Romans 8:14). Children of God must be very sensitive to the Holy Ghost’s leading and prompting in this last hour. Your sincerity to Him must only get greater and greater as you see Rapture Day approaching. Loving yourself and being sensitive to your own wants and wishes more than to what the Lord wants must come to an end. You must be led by and become sensitive to the Holy Ghost.

We are living in perilous times, and people have become lovers of their own selves. They are interested only in getting what they want and doing what they want to do. That is why so many people are touchy and defensive, and they are easily hurt and offended. They have no regard for others and will do anything to get their own way, and the devil can really work through people like that.

The Apostle Paul warned us of these times. This know also, that in the last days perilous [dangerous] times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:1-5).

Some of you are despised by your own blood relatives because you are a child of the King, but you can’t let them affect you. If you find yourself being overly sensitive to things people say and do to you, it is a good sign that you are not sensitive enough to the Holy Ghost. Stop wasting time worrying about such things. Turn them over to God and go on working for the Lord.

If you do things without regarding others, the remedy is to be more sensitive to the Holy Ghost and yield to Him in all things. Some unfortunate events may have happened to you when you were younger that caused you to become defensive and get into the habit of justifying and protecting yourself, but those things have to change.

You have to yield to the Holy Ghost so He can lead you through dangerous conflicts and help you make all your decisions. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

The Spirit Teaches the Word

The Bible is the truth, and the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth; so He will teach you and bring the things to your remembrance from the Word that you need. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).

People who are not sensitive to the Spirit will put their own thinking and interpretation on things, so they will not be able to rightly divide the Word of truth. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). People may brag about how many times they have read through the Bible, but it does them no good if they don’t study it and put it into practice.

The Holy Spirit is actually the author of the Bible. The men who wrote the Bible didn’t make it up; they wrote it down as the Holy Ghost gave it to them. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:21). You must depend on the thoughts and ways of the Spirit, or you will begin to listen to what others say and teach. Then other doctrines will suit you better than the truth, and doubt will creep in; and the Spirit will be insulted.

According to Ephesians 6:17, the Word of God is the sword of the Spirit; but when you doubt the Word, you take that sword out of the Lord’s hands and prevent Him from using it for you. The Word can only work in you through the Holy Ghost; you can’t use the Word of God your way. Jesus said, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition—which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye (Mark 7:9,13).

Glorify God

Being sensitive to the Holy Ghost means you will love, glorify and magnify the Father and the Son more than self because that is what the Holy Ghost does. Jesus said, He [the Holy Ghost] shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you (John 16:14). Paul said, What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's (I Corinthians 6:19,20). Your life must glorify God, not self.

When we read of people receiving the Holy Ghost in the Early Church, the Bible tells us that the Holy Ghost would speak and magnify God. How hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?—we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God (Acts 2:8,11).

Stephen was full of the Holy Ghost; and when he was being stoned, the Spirit magnified Jesus to him in the midst of all that torture. Jesus was bigger to Stephen than self was, and that is why Stephen could suffer and die like Jesus did. But he [Stephen], being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God (Acts 7:55,56). Stephen would never have had that experience if he had not been sensitive to the Holy Ghost within him.

Jesus Must Be Your First Love

The Holy Ghost will cause you to love God more and more no matter what is going on around you. He sheds abroad that love in your heart until Jesus becomes your first love. And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5). If you don’t remain sensitive to the Spirit, you will lose your first love; and God will hold that against you. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (Revelation 2:4).

When Jesus is your first love, you will not become lukewarm. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Revelation 3:15,16). Sinners are not in the mouth of God, so this verse is talking about God’s people who have backslidden. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked (Revelation 3:17).

When you are sensitive to the Holy Ghost, the things of this world will become dimmer and dimmer. You will see the world and all its glitter and temptations for what they really are. You won’t waste time pursuing riches for the sake of riches and striving to be successful in this world. Instead, you will cry, “Lead on, Holy Ghost, lead on!” Sure, it is okay to have nice things in this world; but when you are sensitive to the Holy Ghost, you won’t need great wealth and possessions to satisfy you because your real satisfaction will come from above.

The Early Church Followed the Spirit

When the Early Church disciples prayed for holy boldness, the Holy Ghost shook the place where they were. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31). Those disciples were aware of the Spirit’s presence, power and guidance; and you must be too.

The Bible tells us that those who were there that day were of one heart and one soul in the unity of the Spirit. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common (Acts 4:32). Their worldly possessions were no longer their priority, and they must not be yours either.

As the Early Church disciples did, you must listen to the Holy Spirit more than you do self or people of the world. The Bible says seven times, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). The Bible wouldn’t tell us to listen to the Holy Spirit if it was impossible for us to do that.

Are you sensitive enough to the Holy Spirit to hear what He is saying, and are you quick to respond to His leading? When you are, the Spirit will bear witness that you are a member of the family of God. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together (Romans 8:16,17).

So many churches today are not following the patterns of the Early Church because their people are not sensitive to the Holy Ghost. They don’t see the necessity of receiving Him, and those who do receive Him don’t see the need of yielding to Him on a daily basis.

Christians who are sensitive only to themselves and cater to their own flesh will remain of little use to God in this Holy Ghost dispensation. We are to be vessels of honor prepared for the Master’s use by the Holy Ghost. He shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work (II Timothy 2:21).

Yield to the Holy Spirit

Some people are sensitive to the Holy Ghost when they first receive Him, but they don’t keep that sensitivity; and He becomes like a stranger to them. They don’t continue to yield to Him, so they become sensitive only to their own desires; and they put their trust in their own weak self. Paul asked the Galatians, Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh (Galatians 3:3)?

Never entertain even one thought that goes against the Holy Ghost because you need Him so much. Only He can give you the strength you need to put God first in everything and have Jesus victory every day. That he [Jesus] would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his [Holy] Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16).

The Spirit’s power within will enable you to do more for the Lord than you ever thought possible. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). That divine power will make it easy for you to do anything the Lord asks of you.

As a man, Jesus had to receive the Holy Ghost to fulfill His mission here on Earth; and we must follow His example. He showed us how the Holy Ghost will work in a yielded human life and how a human mind can be connected with Heaven at all times. Through the work of the Holy Ghost, we can become like God. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (II Corinthians 3:18).

When you yield to the Holy Ghost and take His thoughts, they will flush out all the thoughts that are hindering and tormenting you. Then He will supply your soul with the life and Spirit of Christ and do many great works in your life.

Do You Grieve the Spirit?

When you fail to heed the leading of the Holy Spirit, you make Him sad; but the Bible says, Grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). The Holy Spirit is a person, and He can be grieved just like you and I; but you must be very careful never to do that.

The Bible also says, Quench not the Spirit (I Thessalonians 5:19). You must never extinguish the fire of the Holy Ghost burning in your soul. He is the agent who carries out God’s will in your life from now until Rapture Day, so you must always give Him liberty to work as He wants to and live in Him every day. For in him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28).

The Holy Spirit will always live in you as long as you don’t grieve Him, yet many who claim to be Christians have grieved Him again and again. Some have even gone so far as to blaspheme against Him, and there is no forgiveness for that.

The Pharisees were hypocrites who were always criticizing the miracles Jesus performed; and He warned them about the sin of blasphemy saying, Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man [Jesus], it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost [the wonderful, mighty, spiritual person who carries out the works and miracles of God], it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come (Matthew 12:31,32).

Fleshly Traits Hinder the Spirit

The Spirit has been insulted so many times by those who are full of ego and reject the grace of God. The Bible says, Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace (Hebrews 10:29)? When you defy the grace of God, you can’t be saved because no one can be saved without God’s grace. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8,9).

The Holy Ghost is vexed by disobedience and rebellion, and that is made clear when you study the Children of Israel. Isaiah the prophet wrote, In his [the Lord’s] love and in his pity he redeemed them [the rebellious Children of Israel]; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them (Isaiah 63:9,10).

When the Holy Ghost tries to show some children of God certain things in their lives that are distasteful to Him and need to be changed, they are not thankful for His reproof. Instead, they let their pride get in the way, and they rebel; and that causes the Spirit deep pain.

The Holy Ghost is the one who will convict you when you are not acting like Jesus; but if your stubbornness and selfish will rebel against any of His discipline or conviction, you will grieve Him and hurt others, and the Bible teaches against that. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave [really hold on] to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another (Romans 12:9,10).

The Neglected Spirit

The Holy Ghost cries when you pay no attention to Him, yet you still want His attention when you are facing great persecution and suffering. You want Him to take time with you when you need love and comfort; so how much time do you give Him in return? The Godhead will do anything for those who love and serve them, but you hinder them when you don’t give them the proper place in your life. As it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (I Corinthians 2:9).

As human beings, we are so sensitive to being hurt. Why can’t we be just as sensitive to the Holy Ghost’s hurt and know when we are grieving Him? If you are truly alive in the Spirit, you will know when you have failed the Spirit and face it.

Any attitude that is unlike Jesus grieves the Holy Ghost. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice (Ephesians 4:31). On the other hand, attitudes that are like Jesus please the Spirit. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32).

Many Are Rejecting the Holy Ghost

The Holy Ghost works with love and faith, not with unbelief and resistance. Let me point out again that Stephen was full of the Holy Ghost; and he boldly told the people, Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One [Jesus]; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers (Acts 7:51,52).

So many people today are living according to their own thoughts and traditions. The Holy Spirit is not welcome in many churches because the people want no part of Him. The spirit of the world church has taken them over, and the wind of the real Holy Spirit is no longer accepted. Only ill winds of false doctrine and unbelief are blowing upon them; and they are full of fanaticism, ego and modernism. It is so sad when the warmth of the fire of the Holy Ghost that brings life, strength and love is not welcome.

You must sense through the Spirit that He is grieved when you do your own thing or miss church without a real reason that God would accept. The Bible says, Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:25). When you don’t feel the need of gathering together in the house of God and you put other things ahead of going to church, you are in trouble.

Do you go for days without getting still with the Holy Spirit so He can lead you, comfort you and teach you? You may not want Him to leave you, but why should He stay when He is so neglected and hurt by your actions? You must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s hurt when you neglect to spend time with Him because if you continue to do that, He will leave you. You must not only spend time with Him but also let Him possess you so completely that He can clear out every hindrance and seed of deceit that may be in you.

Let Nothing Hinder You

When you are not sensitive to the Spirit, you can become a hypocrite; and the Holy Spirit suffers much when you are not sincere about God and the things of God. That is exactly what the Israelites did; and the Bible says, Yea, they [the Israelites] turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel (Psalm 78:41).

Never limit God in your life. Always examine yourself to see if you let family, friends, or even enemies hinder your walk with God. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves (II Corinthians 13:5).

Time is so precious now, so you must not waste it on people or things that don’t please God. Only the things you do for God really count. Paul said, That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ [Rapture Day] (Philippians 1:10).

The Holy Ghost came to tabernacle within children of God and teach them all about Jesus like no other person ever could, but how do you treat that divine teacher? The Holy Spirit lived in Jesus when He walked on Earth, so He knows all about Jesus. He also knows every path you should walk and the perfect will of God for your life.

You must make sure that you are never the cause of tears falling from the Holy Spirit’s eyes. When you come to the end of each day, you must ask, “Lord, did I please you today?” Winning souls pleases God, and you must give your all to do that. You must be ready and willing to do whatever God wants of you. Then you will have nothing to worry about because God will hold all of your tomorrows in His hands.

Paul summed up perfectly the things we should be concerned about. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (I Thessalonians 5:14-23). When you live according to these scriptures, you will have divine confidence, courage, love, humility and anything else you need.

Let Jesus In

Being sensitive to the Holy Spirit begins with salvation because the Holy Ghost cannot dwell in an unclean temple. If you don’t have Jesus and your life is not yielded to Him, pray this prayer with me now: Oh, God, I have sinned against you; and I am so sorry. Please forgive me, and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe your Word, and I love the blood of Jesus. I believe Jesus died for me and that His blood washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in! If you meant that prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah! Jesus is mine!

Now, you must go on to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. He can’t help you unless He lives within you. Then you can’t put family, friends or anything ahead of the leadership of the Holy Ghost or you will miss the one flight out. The Lord is coming only for those who are without spot, wrinkle or blemish; and only the Holy Ghost can make you that pure and holy. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).

God Wants to Heal You

If you are sick and afflicted today, know that it is the Lord’s will for you to be healed. Jesus came for the healing of our bodies as well as the healing of our souls. With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). I am not your healer; God is. I believe in the power of prayer, and I will believe the Lord for your healing or the healing of your loved one. Jesus said, If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 18:19). I am one, and you are two.

Lord, I bring the people to you. In the holy name of Jesus, I come with your gifts of healing and your gift of miracles for their deliverance. I curse the sicknesses and diseases in their bodies just as Christ cursed the fig tree in the name of the Lord when He was on Earth. Through the power of the Holy Ghost and in the name of Jesus, the Son of the living God, Heal! Heal! in the holy, mighty name of Jesus.

The healing power is now flowing to you. If you will be obedient and believe the Lord, that power will linger in your body to get you or your loved one well. Watch for all signs of improvement daily, and praise the Lord for them. Then write, email or leave a message through Facebook or Instagram to tell us what God has done for you.

You must give God the glory for every miracle He performs. Then help us carry God’s love, faith and deliverance to the world in this last hour. God bless you.
