Armageddon, at the Time of the End
Volume 11 A Book on Bible Prophecy

November 1990
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him [the Antichrist]: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he [the Antichrist] shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him (Daniel 11:40-45). The Libyans and the Ethiopians will follow the steps of the Antichrist who will have power over Egypt.
At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation (Daniel 12:1). The nations are getting ready for Armageddon, and since they are, we must prepare ourselves for the second coming of the Lord, ready to be taken out of here with Him before the Tribulation Period begins. The Bible tells us Jesus is coming after a people who are looking for Him. Without vision of this endtime hour, we really cannot be looking for the Lord to come. Those awaiting the second coming of Jesus feel a grave responsibility resting upon them to help bring in the lost at any cost, a harvest of souls. If you are alert to this hour, you are looking to the prophecies of God, seeing these prophecies fulfilled all around you. As you observe the European Common Market, how it has formed in our day, as you see nations rising against nations and falling into place in the scheme of things, you know through Bible prophecies that the end of the age is near. The nations are lining up for the Battle of Armageddon. Wars and calamities will not cease. World conditions may seem to improve for a time but then will continue to worsen. Prepare for the ferocious battles of the mind coming against the children of God. You must wear the whole armor of God if you expect to stand.
Russia Will Descend Like a Storm
We see the nations gathering for the Battle of Armageddon. The king of the North will come down on the Holy Land. The thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth chapters of Ezekiel speak of Russia and her fate. Russia claims she wants peace, but she doesn’t. There will be no peace with Russia. The prospect of peace is a ploy of the devil to sweep people into the arms of Russia. The devil knows Russia is going down on Israel, and that time is drawing close.
The Word of the Lord is very plain in Ezekiel. Magog is Russia and Gog her leader. And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog [Russia’s leader], the land of Magog [Russia], the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet (Ezekiel 38:1-5). Russia in the past has supported Libya. Is Libya against the things of God today? Yes. Persia? Definitely. Different countries are lining up with Russia. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey (verses 9-12). Isn’t that just like the devil to make Russia desire the riches of that little nation of Israel? The devil is furious because Israel is the apple of God’s eye, because God has declared the land to be His and to always be His.
And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes (Ezekiel 38:15,16). Russia’s leaders think it will be easy to overcome Israel. It won’t be. Russia will meet God in this battle. The Lord said, I will bring thee against my land. All but one-sixth of the Russian army and her allies will be destroyed in Israel (Ezekiel 39:2).
Fury in the Face of God
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground (Ezekiel 38:17-20). God’s ferocious presence will be felt throughout the whole earth. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone (verses 21,22). God won’t need man to execute judgment; He will do much of it Himself. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD (verse 23).
Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and LEAVE BUT THE SIXTH PART OF THEE, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken. And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search (Ezekiel 39:1-6,8-14).
Seven months of burying the dead—never has there been a time like this! God’s wrath will be rained down.
The Euphrates Dried Up
God draws back the drapery of time to let us know He will destroy multitudes. He reminds us that in Noah’s day just eight souls were left on the earth after the flood. God has destroyed in the past, and He will destroy again. Sodom and Gomorrah…God killed all from those cities except three.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared (Revelation 16:12). Some think the waters of the Euphrates couldn’t possibly dry up, but God said He would do it. Didn’t He dry a path through the Red Sea? Yes. Didn’t He drown the entire pursuing army? Who would have dared touch one of Pharaoh’s soldiers? They comprised the greatest army on planet Earth at that time. In a matter of moments God drowned every one of them. Later, God separated the waters of the Jordan River so His people could cross. Now He will dry the Euphrates, a river approximately 1,700 miles long, making a mighty highway for the yellow races to join the Battle of Armageddon in Israel. God is ensuring that all nations will be there.
All Nations Gathered against Jerusalem
Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city (Zechariah 14:1,2). Such a time…and yet people refuse to believe it will happen. They’re not preparing to escape the destruction coming upon the face of the earth. The king of the South—a federation of nations that live south of the Holy Land, the bulk of the Arab nations—will come. The king of the North, the Russian bloc; the kings of the East, the yellow races will be there. God will bring them all together: all nations, He said, will gather at Jerusalem, most of them on the side of the devil. The unrest as well as man’s vision of peace that we find in the world today are but preludes to the Battle of Armageddon.
The worst problems of the Jews are not over. And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God (Zechariah 13:8,9). Venting His fury, His anger upon humanity, God will rain judgment so ferocious that Zechariah the prophet was told only one-third of the Jewish nation would be spared, and that that third would turn to Jesus Christ and recognize Him as Lord. God said He would bring them through the fire, refine them as silver and try them as gold.
Two-thirds of the Israelite nation will be destroyed during this horrendous war. Israel has seen war and conflict off and on all these years since she became a nation. At the onset, the Battle of Armageddon will seem to be just one more war. But this battle will be different.
The Heel of Slaughter
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon (Revelation 16:16). The word Armageddon means the heel of the slaughter; the place is well named. As Russia goes down on the Holy Land, the program of God will be set into motion. The slaughter of five-sixths of the Russian army and her allies in Israel will be the great beginning of the Battle of Armageddon. What a slaughter it will be just for Russia and her allies—not to speak of the other nations involved! It’s the devil that causes Russia and the other nations to go against Israel. Why? Because Israel represents God. The devil hates anything pertaining to God, and he continues to seek to destroy the Jewish nation as he has tried to do down through the years. Twice before, the Jews have been scattered among other nations. After this third gathering back, they will never be dispersed again. The Lord promised the Jews a continuous dwelling with Him in peace, safety and love. But first the Battle of Armageddon.
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be (Matthew 24:21). Armageddon will be the most terrible holocaust that has ever raged. All past wars massed together wouldn’t be as horrendous.
The prophet Joel looked down through God’s telescope of time and saw the end of the age. In his writings we read: For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land (Joel 3:1,2). In the valley of Jehoshaphat the final battle of the great war will be waged. Observe how many times in the Holy Word of God that the Lord declares the Holy Land is His. No one really has a right to object to what He does with it. It is His, and He said it will be His forever.
Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up (Joel 3:9). The Lord will bring the armies to Jerusalem and there He will destroy them. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong (verse 10). For the Battle of Armageddon it’s beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears, but in the Perfect Age the instructions are reversed. The war weapons are to be beaten back into implements of peace. Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about (verses 11,12). God’s judgment is death, death, death. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake (verses 13-16).
A day of terror will reign when God utters His voice out of Jerusalem, when His Lion personality is manifested. The Lord shall roar out of Zion, shaking the heavens and earth so mightily that the whole world will feel it. But the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel (Joel 3:16).
God Will Be in Control
The war to end all wars is coming. Russia and the nations that side with her will start this great war—this is a teaching of the Word of God. The evil, the wicked refuse to honor God. They want war, and God will give them war.
When people turn up their noses at God and fail to live holy, they are in trouble. God said His people were to be a holy people, that they would worship Him and honor Him, bowing not to other gods, for He is a jealous God. He has been patient with mankind. Although He has brought judgment upon humanity in the past, it is nothing like the judgments He will rain down in the Tribulation Period. God has given man about six thousand years to come back to Him, to the second Eden; but most have stayed away.
The judgments of the seven-sealed book of Revelation, the seven trumpet judgments will be terrible indeed. Russia will be looked on as a great power, and the Antichrist will hate her. To see Russia destroyed would ordinarily stop the war, but God won’t let it stop. God will be in control. He is going to release wicked angels who have been held in bondage all these years, turn loose the forces of hell upon the earth and pour judgment from the skies. God has had enough of the human race that will not serve Him, those living in arrogance, deceit, with self on the throne. They have forgotten the True and Living God.
Eyes Melt in Their Sockets
Zechariah 14:12 tells how the Lord will smite all the people who have fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. The judgments of God being poured out will be so devastating on the armies fighting against Jerusalem that their flesh will just melt away while they stand.
Where did man acquire the arrogance that will bring such terrible judgments upon his head? From the devil who declared that he would ascend above the Most High. The devil has deceived many people, convincing them that they can get by in sin, that they can deny the God who purchased them with the blood of His own Son. Those who believe the devil are in for a rude awakening.
Worldwide Earthquake
A great earthquake is coming: And there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found (Revelation 16:18,20). Revelation 16:19 tells us the cities of the nations fell. Think of the great cities falling—Los Angeles, New York, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Calcutta, Cairo, Sidney—all the cities. Great earthquakes are predicted in different areas, and they will come. But the earthquake God will send, more deadly than anyone could imagine, will shake the world.
I once heard an angry God walking planet Earth. As those great feet came down, the destruction caused a crunching noise like the crumbling of paper would make. I will never forget that experience of the Lord walking the earth; it demonstrates how great, strong and mighty God is.
God has warned us, given and preserved prophecies of the coming destruction so that we can flee His wrath. That period of time will be so terrible that Jesus said, For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened (Matthew 24:21,22).
Christ’s Third Coming
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory (Matthew 24:27,30). All the world will see Him. They have denied Him, declared He didn’t exist, that He was dead. Then suddenly they see Him, and they can’t deny His existence any longer.
Christ in His first appearance came as the Babe of Bethlehem, stripped of all glory, all power as far as the world could see. He didn’t look like much to them, and the world didn’t consider Him special. Jesus’ second appearance will be at the Rapture when He will gather His obedient children to Him and take them to Heaven. But when He makes this third appearance in all glory, all power, people will run, crying out for the rocks and the mountains to fall upon them. At this time they will know that He is the Son of God.
And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs (Revelation 14:20). For two hundred miles the blood will run up to the horses’ bridles. Such blood has never been shed in all history. The lion personality of Jesus at last will be on the earth as foretold in these verses; the Lion of the tribe of Judah will have arrived. No more mercy, for Jesus comes with the final judgment of God for planet Earth before He sets up His thousand-year reign. He will tread the winepress Himself.
They Shall Look Upon Him Whom They Pierced
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him (Revelation 1:7). Those who pierced Him, the Jewish people, will see their Lord, their Savior, and will suffer in their spirits for it, weeping over what their nation has done.
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:10,11). This is the love that will come into hearts when people see Jesus—those third of the Jews who will be spared. The Jewish people have a history of exceptional love for the first-born. God gave them that great love from the very beginning, stressing the importance of the first-born to the people of Israel in Bible days.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:11-16). The vesture dipped in blood identifies the rider on the white horse as Jesus. He is coming with judgment for all who rejected His blood and trampled it underfoot. Jesus will be saying, This blood of mine that I spilled for you and dipped my vesture into would have saved you. I want you to look at it; it would have saved you, but you cried, “Away with the blood! We don’t want the blood!” You claimed to have me in your heart, but you didn’t want my blood.
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come (Isaiah 63:1-4). The lion personality will at last be on the earth as foretold in these verses. The Lion of the tribe of Judah will have arrived.
Just as grapes are trampled and the juice flows, blood will flow as Jesus, in the winepress of His wrath, tramples human beings underfoot by the multitudes. He will do it, the angry Christ, the Lamb of God turned into the Lion of Judah. No more mercy for those people.
Jesus, clothed in a vesture dipped in blood, will lead the saints of God arrayed in fine white linen who help make up the armies of Heaven. Angelic beings will be in that army, people with glorified bodies, saints of God from Heaven. What an army will be with Him, riding on white horses and dressed in white linen! Jesus identifies Himself as King; all the power of Heaven is backing Him up. He brings judgment for those who have rejected His mercy.
A Feast of Carrion
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth (Ezekiel 39:17,18). Other writers also tell of this great feast that is coming, where the birds of the air and beasts will be gathered together for the feast of Lord God Almighty.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great (Revelation 19:17,18). Think how God has loved humanity…and now this. The call goes forth throughout the whole earth: Come you carrion lovers, you birds that will eat the flesh of human beings; come you animals! I’m going to give you a feast. The people didn’t want me, and now I don’t want them. Come! I will spread a feast unlike any that has ever been before!
Prophets of the Old Testament knew about the Tribulation Period; this isn’t something hidden away in Revelation. Study the prophecies of God and learn what is going to happen, what you’re facing. It’s either the Rapture or the Tribulation. Make up your mind which you want. Jesus is coming after the Glorious Church, not one particular denomination, but a glorious people without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing—those who live holy.
As for the unholy, not just the poor and lowly will suffer, but the great and mighty also. Death is appointed to everyone—except those taken in the Rapture. No matter how powerful a person has been, when he dies his power is cut off. Where is the soul then? How disastrous to operate in ego and the power of self, to dethrone God and leave Him out of your life! Self is fair game for the spirit of the devil, the spirit of the Antichrist, of communism.
Cast Alive into the Lake of Fire
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh (Revelation 19:19-21). The book of Revelation tells of the millions that will be killed in different ways; it is your revelation as is the book of Daniel and the other books that speak of this hour. You cannot understand the New Testament without understanding the Old, and you will not understand the book of Revelation without the book of Daniel. Put the two together and you have a complete picture. Daniel and Revelation are not books of figurative images but of prophecies fulfilled and prophecies of coming events.
Many preachers have denied the fire in the judgments of God. How the devil has deceived people through misguided religious leaders of the world! It’s a disgrace! Many, many religious leaders simply don’t believe the prophecies in the Bible of the judgments of God.
Isaiah speaks of the Battle of Armageddon: Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof (Isaiah 24:1). When the Lord comes to fight part of the Battle of Armageddon Himself, the world will know that He is King of kings. All people will recognize Him as very God. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left (verses 5,6).
Goats Separated from Sheep
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:31,32). At the close of the Battle of Armageddon, at His third coming, Jesus will set up His Kingdom, separating people: the sheep nations on His right hand, the goat nations on the left. Those who have mistreated the Jews, those who fought against Israel—the goats—will die. Not one of the goat nations will be able to go into the Perfect Age. However, there will be people from the sheep nations—nations who were good to the Jewish people—entering the Perfect Age who do not have the Lord in their hearts.
The Doomsday Clock Is Ticking
The scientists of the world have a Doomsday clock. They have declared, according to calculations based on mankind’s past performances, that the nations are preparing for war, that Doomsday for the human race is just a few minutes away on their clock. But the recent onset of false peace gave the scientists confidence to move the hands back a few minutes. They are blind to the prophecies of God.
Thousands of years ago God prophesied how He would gather all nations to Jerusalem. For thousands of years the devil has caused the Gentiles to hate the Jewish people, to hate the thought of their ever becoming a nation again. Through the years, many have tried to destroy them. The Jews have suffered much so that they would be willing to go back to Israel. God has promised to gather them all back. We don’t know just when the final gathering will be completed, but soon it will close. One day the Lord will say, They’re all here, just like I said. How sad that two-thirds will be destroyed in the awful war to come! It’s because of man’s disobedience, because man has failed God, gone away from Him.
Man has never seen war on the scale of the Battle of Armageddon. Ferociously, God will deal through the lion personality of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Many, even biblical scholars, do not want to give God credit for this war; they think it will be delivered into the hands of man, that the damage will be caused by man’s war weapons. The flesh melting from the bones of men will not be from nuclear weapons, but from the judgment of God. Study the way of God in the book of Revelation; study carefully through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. Yes, the nations will gather. Yes, they will have war weapons, but nothing compared to God’s power. God will use methods that have never been used before on the human race and will never be used again.
The Glorious Kingdom
After the war of Armageddon is over, the Glorious Kingdom will be set up, the thousand-year reign of peace on Earth. But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more (Micah 4:1-3).
Satan has been bound, put into the bottomless pit. No more war ever again, even when Satan comes out of the bottomless pit after a thousand years, thinking he has a chance at one more war. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever (Micah 4:4,5).
The perfect Kingdom, the beautiful life, the Glorious Kingdom will have come. Man thought Babylon was glorious; it was devilish. They thought Rome was a wonder. It was a wonder of devil possession. The Glorious Kingdom, the one that Daniel saw, will be headed by the Stone the builders rejected, Jesus Christ the Son of God. That Stone will crush under it everything unlike God and set up His Kingdom which will fill the whole earth.
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16-19). There are those who simply hate holy living, holy preaching and the Holy Bible. Heathens will be on planet Earth during the Glorious Kingdom, but they will not be able to manifest their evil ways in open rebellion until the devil comes out of the bottomless pit at the end of the thousand years.
In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 14:20,21). Some will be on Earth with glorified bodies, others with natural physical bodies. Those with glorified bodies will be able to go places, do things with the Lord, to be wherever He is. Without that glorified body we would never be able to move fast enough to keep up with Him. It will be wonderful when we can move like the angels move, in one split second traveling from Earth to Heaven. The prophecies are written. God has promised, and they’re coming. At the end of the Perfect Age, nations will gather again to wage war against the Holy City, but before they can, God will destroy them with fire from heaven.
Judgments Falling Today
God is sending some judgments now, and there will be more earthquakes, more calamities, more sorrow, more distress. For many years, God’s right hand of mercy has been held up, but the time is coming when that right hand will lower altogether and the left hand of judgment raise. God is using the left hand already in a way people never thought He would.
God looked at this human race, at the ungodly living, at people spitting in His eye when it comes to marriage, shacking up with anyone and everyone they wanted, living in sin, in homosexuality. God has had enough. He spelled out these sins, this unholy living and said judgment awaited. Now God is giving tokens of judgment—and there will be more. More judgments are coming: that’s thus saith the Lord. We must keep ourselves pure, clean and holy to be ready; for in such an hour as we think not, the Son of man cometh.
The Rapture Generation
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled (Matthew 24:32-34). Learn the parable of the fig tree in bloom representing the Jews gathering back to their homeland. Jesus said the generation on the face of the earth at that time would see the coming of the Lord. That generation will not pass from the earth until everything is fulfilled. When Israel, the fig tree, blooms, Armageddon is at hand. In Ezekiel, the Lord compared Israel to a valley of dry bones, and He said He would bring them to life again. It happened. The Jews were a dead nation until God brought them up out of their graves and back to Israel beginning in 1948. People said it could never be done, but God said it could. In bringing them back, restoring their homeland to them, God was keeping His promise. As we go into Bible prophecies, we see all that God has promised and all He is doing. God told Ezekiel and other prophets of the Battle of Armageddon, and preserved the information for your edification.
Live in these prophecies; know the fig tree, Israel, is blooming now just like the Bible says. Before our very eyes she stands alive as a nation. The Six Day War proved that God was fighting for Israel when He delivered Jerusalem back into the hands of the Jews. If you study God’s prophecies, you know that the Tribulation Period is at the door. Armageddon is coming. The nations are on time preparing for that war. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape (I Thessalonians 5:2,3).
We are the Rapture generation. It’s almost time for the children of God who are ready to be caught away with the Lord forever.
The second coming of the Lord has been preached about, shouted over; but just as in the days of Noah when it looked as though the rains would never come, to the scoffers today it looks as though Christ will not come again. Many in the Christian world don’t believe that the children of God will be taken out at His second coming. The devil has many messengers in the Christian world preaching against the Rapture. The Bible says there will be doctrines of devils in the final hour: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (I Timothy 4:1).
God or the Devil…The Choice Is Yours
My soul is stirred within me as I study these awful judgments to come, as I study what Jesus is going to be like when He makes His third appearance. Take another look at Him. God wants us to know He is a God of judgment, but the devil has many ministers, teachers in the Christian world trying to do away with the judgments of God. Wake up and separate yourself from the influence of false doctrine. God is a God of love, but He is also a God of hate. He hates the devil; He hates sin, and He is doing everything He can to bring people out of sin. But He has not taken away their free choice. Man can choose God or the devil; it’s up to him.
Are you without sin? Do you think no one can live free of sin? The idea that no one can live sin-free is the deceit of Lucifer. If you go to Heaven it will be because you are without sin. No one with sin in his life will enter Heaven.
Do you have faith enough to believe the whole plan of God? Those who do not—and many, even Christians do not accept the whole plan of God—will come up lacking. This last hour just before Jesus comes is countdown time. The trials are going to be fiery, minds under such pressure that men will not be able to overcome without great, great anointing from God. The Lord knew we would need the outpouring of His Spirit in this hour because all hell would boil over. In the last days, Joel the prophet said, God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh.
Are you ready to meet the Lord; are you ready to accept the plan of God? The devil has a plan and God has His. Have no confidence in man or self; put all your trust in the Living God; accept the whole plan of God, embrace it all and believe every word in God’s Holy Bible.
Sinner, Backslider, come home. One day it will be too late. One day God won’t care; you’ll be trampled under, trampled in the fierceness of the winepress of the wrath of Almighty God. Armageddon, the war that will end all wars…where will you be when it is being fought? Why not get right with God so you will be on the winning side? It’s time to come home to the Lord.
Think about the mercy of God, the forgiveness of God, the salvation of God through Jesus Christ His Son, and pray this prayer with me:
“Oh, God, I have sinned against you. I am so sorry. I’m going to serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. I believe the whole plan of God. I believe in the plan of redemption. I know Jesus died for me, and I will live for Him. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come on into my heart, Jesus, come on in!”
If you meant that prayer He has come. If you meant it He is yours. Serve Him. Go on to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and be ready when Jesus comes. He will come. He promised.
See you in the Rapture!
