Almost Midnight
by Ernest Angley
June 1989
The day is far spent; it’s almost midnight, the hour when Jesus will return for His Bride, the Bride of Christ. Teaching us living realities of His Word through parables, Jesus warned us of this midnight hour when He was here on Earth. The parable of the ten virgins is really describing the second coming of Jesus, with the ten virgins representing the Christians who will be on Earth at that time. Five wise virgins made preparations for His coming—they received the oil of the Holy Spirit—and were taken with Jesus. But five foolish virgins carelessly failed to obtain the oil. When Jesus came, they were left behind. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut (Matthew 25:1-10). This sounds like the Rapture to me! When that door in Heaven closes behind the Bride of Christ, those left outside—the foolish virgins—will be in the Tribulation Period.
The devil is seeking to instill doubt into every Christian he can about the return of the Lord. Many false prophets are on the scene right now, saying that the Rapture won’t take place, that the second coming of Jesus is a myth. There won’t be a Rapture for them, just a Tribulation Period. Other people are gathering food, storing it in quantities large enough to take them through the Tribulation Period—assuming they are able to survive the catastrophic judgments that will fall during that time. The born-new, Holy Spirit-filled Christians need not plan for survival during the Tribulation Period, for they won’t be in it; they have the promise of the Rapture. But those not living close to God will be swept into false doctrine in this final hour, saith the Lord. Many are already in it. This is an hour not only of great revelation from Heaven, but also of great deceit from hell. The devil is doing everything he can to cause people to doubt the very words of Jesus.
Comfort One Another with the Promise of Jesus’ Return
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. This sounds like the Rapture to me! Wherefore comfort one another with these words (I Thessalonians 4:13-18). Comfort one another with the promise of Jesus’ soon return, knowing that He will appear in midair. He’s returning for us!
The Rapture Will By-Pass Death
The dead in Christ will rise first. The body, the old house of clay the soul lived in here on Earth, will come forth from the grave a new body to be reunited with the soul. Then we who are alive and ready when Jesus comes will be changed in an instant from our mortal form to an immortal, glorified one. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality (I Corinthians 15:51-53). We won’t all die, but when the Rapture takes place, those without spot, wrinkle or any such thing will be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE RAPTURE TO ME—it’s almost midnight.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:54-57). Those on planet Earth taken in the Rapture will be changed so quickly that death will have no chance at them; for them, no sting of death. The grave will be robbed.
Praise God, there really will be a Rapture! Through the Word of God, God gave the knowledge of the Rapture to us all. God hadn’t intended for man ever to die; but when man sinned in the Garden of Eden, it brought the sting of death. It’s a sting God will not put up with forever. He will destroy death entirely at the end of the Perfect Age, for He hates death more than you and I do.
Angels Said Jesus Would Come Again
In Acts we find that as the disciples stood watching Jesus ascend into Heaven, two men in white apparel spoke to them: Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven (Acts 1:11). Before His crucifixion Jesus told the disciples what He would do: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again (John 14:3). He went to prepare a mansion for His believers, and He will come again. Jesus said it, angels confirmed it, and we can depend upon it.
What Will the Day of His Return Be Like?
What will it be like when He comes? And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:25-28). Men are perplexed today, many nations distressed. The Lord described this time two thousand years ago, this time of His appearing in midair to take the Bride of Christ from the face of the earth. Wake up to the hour in which you live. It’s almost midnight.
Jesus told us many things about our day: And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake (Matthew 24:3-9). We don’t know all the persecutions we will endure in this hour; holy people of God are being killed in some nations already, missionaries and workers for God. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many (Matthew 24:10,11). Why can people be so easily deceived? They are not walking in all the truth of God. Instead of looking to Jesus they are looking to man, to personalities, speaking clever words that openly contradict the Word of God.
Many Mock God
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold (Matthew 24:12). Many mock God, Jesus, and the miracles of healing and salvation. Recently I heard a minister ridiculing the miracles of Jesus, saying that some people thought about nothing but miracles. We had better think about miracles—it’s the miraculous power of the Holy Ghost that will change us in a twinkling of an eye at the coming of Jesus. It’s a miracle that brings salvation to a soul; miracles dominated the ministry of Jesus. What kind of a messenger would curl a lip at the miracles of God? It should be obvious. The devil tries to “water down” the Word or to wipe it out of minds and hearts completely, for he knows if he can keep the truth away from you, it will never set you free. You will stay in bondage with no chance of salvation. Only through the truth can you be free, delivered. Oh, God, what a mess on planet Earth today!
Unholiness Abounds
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (II Timothy 3:1). The last days…the period of time we live in. It’s almost midnight—such a dangerous hour! Unless you have the Lord you are not safe anywhere. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers (II Timothy 3:2). More and more blasphemy is coming forth; many are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit of God never to feel His Spirit again. Disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy (verse 2). Unholiness abounds to the extent that even ministers are declaring no one can live holy. But the Bible tells us we can live holy. Holiness is Christ; being holy is letting Christ live within. If living holy were impossible, the Bible would not have said that those people living unholy have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof (verse 5). The Bible also tells us, But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:15,16). If you don’t think the Lord is holy, you are deceived.
Without natural affection (II Timothy 3:3). Children abused, fathers having sex with their sons and daughters—some parents are worse than animals. Truce-breakers. More and more people are becoming untrustworthy, even Christians. They seem to feel justified in telling you anything to get themselves “off the hook,” whether it is true or not. That is not how the Spirit of God operates. False accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. It’s surprising how many people despise those who are living holy because of the reflection cast on their own ungodly way of life. Church people, preachers and atheists alike hate those who are living holy. If you want to stir up the devil in them, just talk about living holy. II Timothy 3:4, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. Never has there been such a time of pleasure-seeking in our nation, people wanting to play, making entertainment their goal in life, and leaving no place for God. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (verse 5). A form of godliness: attending church, but denying the miracles of God, looking down on miracles, speaking in tongues and the born-new experience.
But Jesus said, These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following (Mark 16:17-20). The Lord confirms His Word with signs and wonders, but still there are ministers preaching for years who have never laid hands on the sick, seen a miracle or cast out a devil—they don’t believe in signs and wonders following believers. Some ministers are unholy, not really Bible believers. Many have denied God’s power while taking on a form of godliness, their religion an unholy, empty shell. Gathering in church to worship the Lord is just a back-patting ritual with them; nothing spiritual is happening. Dead men in the pulpits deceive people in the pews because they all have denied the power of God.
It’s time for God’s holy people to rise, make up the hedge and fill in the gaps in this final hour. It’s almost midnight and many souls remain to be won. The Christian world has failed; the ministry as a whole has broken down, and the laymen must make a stand for holy living in Jesus Christ in order to help bring in the harvest in a great, wonderful way as they did in the Early Church. Open your eyes to the hour we live in. The devil inspires all too many Christians to make excuses for sins and to soft-peddle holy living, but now the dividing hour has come between holy living and false doctrine. Make sure you line up with the Lord in this midnight hour. Live close enough to God so that He can be your inspiration.
Jesus stood against sin—He loved the sinner but hated the sin. Jesus’ life is our example of holy living. He had no tolerance for hypocrisy, speaking out against it, and He expects us to do the same when it’s appropriate.
Doctrines of Devils
We read more about the latter times—our time—in I Timothy 4:1, Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. Denying the second coming of Jesus is a doctrine of devils. Anything that disputes what Jesus taught or what the Bible says is a doctrine of Lucifer no matter what it is. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry (verses 2,3).
We’ve come to the place that couples openly shack up; they have no shame about it. Many think the wedding ceremony is pointless if they love each other. Shacking up is not love but lust, and before long that lust is usually transferred to someone else. Commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer (verses 3-5). Even some preachers on television instruct us what not to eat—the Bible foretold it; and the Bible also said to receive that which God created with thanksgiving, that all foods, all meats are good if you sanctify them, if you praise the Lord for them. Of course some people have physical problems that require special diets; that’s different. They should stick to the prescribed foods. Paul is referring to abstinence from nourishing foods because of doctrines of devils and seducing spirits.
Scoffers Will Be Judged
Peter tells us that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation (II Peter 3:3,4). There are preachers today walking after their own lusts, just as the scoffers walked in Peter’s day. One minister told me that he’d been hearing about the second coming for years, and it hasn’t happened yet. He evidently doubted it would ever take place. Noah warned the people in his day of the great flood; they had heard the message in disbelief for over one hundred years. But then that last year rolled around, the 120th year, the last month, the last week, the last day—and the rains came. The people who had closed their ears—just like many are doing today—were destroyed. Too late, they woke up. Suddenly believers panicked outside the ark, beating on the door to be let in—but God didn’t care anymore what happened to them; it didn’t make any difference. The door was closed and wouldn’t open until the destruction was over.
It will be the same for those who miss the Rapture. God is giving everyone a chance to come to Him while there is yet time. He loves humanity, but not all humanity loves Him; and those who reject God will seal their own doom. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9). God will do what He said He would do, and He warns of judgment for those who will not believe and serve Him.
The Blessed Hope
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2:11,12). Man may say he cannot live free from sin, but these verses tell us differently.
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13). The Bible calls the coming of the Lord “the blessed hope and glorious appearing.” Indeed it will be a glorious appearing to every child of God who is ready to meet Him in the air. After we have been in Heaven a million years we will still remember how we felt when we looked up and saw Him descending in the clouds in all His power and glory…Jesus our precious Lord with the nail prints in His hands and feet. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority (Titus 2:14,15). He took on flesh that we might take on divinity. Thank God for the Word of the Living God, for the power of God!
Jesus will come again: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (I John 3:2). That same Jesus, not another, but the same Jesus will appear. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure (verse 3). If you have the blessed hope within you, you are pure; and by keeping that hope within, you will stay pure.
Ye Know Not the Hour
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only (Matthew 24:36). When Jesus walked the earth, even angels didn’t know the time of His second coming; but I wouldn’t be surprised if by now they all know and are making great preparations in Heaven for that hour.
But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:37-39). In other words, the people cared nothing for the message of God, took no interest in it at all—until it was too late. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left (verse 40). Those preachers claiming there will be no Rapture are proven false by the words of Jesus. Even some Pentecostal preachers are denying His second coming—the enemy has taken over their minds, filled them with false doctrine and deceit until they dispute the Word of the Living God.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:42-44). Two will be sleeping side by side, one taken, changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left (verse 41). The Lord told us that people who are in a lukewarm condition will be left behind at the time of the Rapture.
So we would not be mistaken, Jesus gave us a vivid picture of this hour, this season of His coming and of the end of the age. If we walk in His light, we will know the season of His coming, not the hour, but the season.
Jesus said, Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Matthew 24:32). The fig tree in Scripture represents the Jewish nation. When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh (verse 32). With the gathering back of the Jews to the Holy Land and the formation of the nation of Israel in 1948, the fig tree bloomed. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors (Matthew 24:33). What is at the doors?—the coming of the Lord.
Gospel to Be Preached to All Nations
Just before He ascended, Jesus told the disciples to go to Jerusalem, tarry there until they received power from On High, until they were baptized in the Holy Ghost; and then they were to take the Gospel to the whole world. The Holy Ghost would provide their power for service. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12).
Preaching the Gospel with signs and wonders following is a work of Jesus. The Lord will see to it that His Gospel is preached in every nation; Jesus said it is a must. People will not be able to say they didn’t hear, they didn’t know. Not everyone came to the Lord when Jesus was here, only a few; and not all will come in now. Jesus said, Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:14).
Some evangelists claim there won’t be a Rapture, that man will change the world, ushering us into a wonderful period of peace and love. That’s the message of the Antichrist, not the message of the Christ. In Daniel 8:25 we read that by peace the Antichrist will destroy many. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom—the Gospel that Jesus brought—shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:13,14).
Lift up your head; redemption draweth nigh; and this Gospel will be preached to all nations as a witness either for or against you, depending whether you accept it or reject it. If you have yielded to the Gospel, then that Gospel is a witness to God’s greatness in your life, the reality of Jesus, to the true love and peace of God in your heart, and to the blood of Jesus that washed away all of your sins.
You who have not yielded to the Word of God have the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a witness against you. Hearing and rejecting the words of life, you have turned away from the nail-scarred hands and the precious blood of Jesus. The Bible will be the final witness against you if you do not prepare to meet your God.
Some Will Not Endure Sound Doctrine
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (II Timothy 4:1,2). When the Holy Spirit moves on me to reprove and rebuke, there are those who don’t like it very much; they say I’m criticizing. I suspect they’re defensive about the sins they’re indulging in. I’m not criticizing people; I’m talking about sin, the sin that God called me to preach against. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine (II Timothy 4:3). That time is here. It’s almost midnight, and many are not awake. Demand is upon ministers to speak messages that will fit into the lifestyles of their congregations. Any bit of the Gospel that would pierce into their souls they reject vehemently.
The Bible goes on to tell what will happen to those who spurn the truth: But after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:3,4). This is a day of many, many people not wanting to know God’s truth; they reach for a truth of their own devising, something to make them feel good. They will end up believing fables, foolishness and claiming it to be of God; for they have turned away their ears from God’s truth.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry (verse 5). In this, Paul’s farewell speech, he is warning Timothy of the difficulties ahead and of the need for diligent dedication to sound doctrine. When the true Word of God is preached, it is sharper than a sword with two edges, cutting away that which is pleasing to the ears and damning to the soul. How many people do you know who accept the whole Word of God and act on it? How many are applying all of it to their lives?—only God’s holy people.
We Are the End-Time Generation
A cloud received Jesus out of sight, and one of these days He will come riding back on a cloud. How wonderful it will be to look up and behold Him! Jesus at His second appearance will not come all the way to the earth (that will happen at His third appearance when He fights the Battle of Armageddon at the end of the Tribulation Period). His second appearance will be the glorious day of the Rapture for the children of God, those who have been born new, filled with the Holy Spirit and are living holy.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:34, Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. All of what things?—the signs Jesus told us to look for in the last days just before His return. What generation?—the generation that would be on planet Earth when all the end-time signs would be fulfilled, when the Jews would become a nation. We are the generation that witnessed the Jewish people become a nation, and the Lord said the generation upon the earth when the fig tree (Israel) bloomed would not depart from the planet Earth until all is fulfilled (Matthew 24:32-34).
Thank God, we’re in the final hour! Jesus is drawing on us; and we’re running after Him, running our last mile home. Draw on me, we will run after thee, the Bride is saying to her Groom Jesus (Song of Solomon 1:4). Don’t you feel the Lord drawing on you daily? Are you running after Him or after the world? The Bride of Christ that Jesus will take with Him at His second coming is not of the world; she is sanctified through His truth, through His blood, set apart, looking for Jesus to come. Soon it will happen. We don’t know the hour, but this is the season. It may be the darkest hour of the night, but Jesus will light the sky for us. Wherever a holy child of God is filled with the good Holy Ghost, a child without spot, wrinkle or any such thing, God’s light will be there too.
How tragic for those left behind, including the lukewarm Christians who failed to make preparations for that wonderful moment when Jesus appears in midair and the Bride is caught up to meet Him! Jesus speaks of them in Revelation 3:15,16, I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. The Rapture is upon us now.
Chaos on Earth after the Rapture
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:27). After the Rapture takes place, the earth will be desolate, thrown into increasing chaos and terror as the judgments of God bring wave after wave of destruction and suffering never seen before. Where will you be at this time: safe in the arms of Jesus or tormented under the regime of the Antichrist?
How will the Antichrist explain the Rapture after it actually takes place? He will tell people that it didn’t really happen, that everything was a hoax put forth by religious fanatics; and then he will promise to set things in order. The Jewish people, convinced that the Antichrist is the real Messiah, will agree to a seven-year covenant with Him.
Satan’s miracles will confuse many. And he [the Antispirit] doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do (Revelation 13:13,14).
Today, Jesus offers us a way of escape from this horror, but we must be rooted and grounded in the truth of God in this final hour to keep us on Rapture ground. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:44).
Are You Ready?
Are you ready to meet Jesus? Were He to come right now, would you be taken? The Lord said two would be together, one taken and the other left. Would you be the one who would be left? Two working together, one taken, the other left. Which will it be for you? Face it. Intending to get ready isn’t good enough; those plans must be put into action. Many will be left behind who meant to get ready. Intentions are not preparations…and what a chance you take by failing God any day of your life! When the Rapture happens there will no longer be time to get ready, the change will come too quickly. As suddenly as a lightning flash, in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye the Lord will appear. There will be no chance to pray, no opportunity to repent or to seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Jesus isn’t coming to a prayer meeting; He is coming to take His holy children, the Bride of Christ without spot or wrinkle.
The Bride is special, clean. Not of this world, the Bride of Christ is set apart, consecrated and dedicated like Daniel in the lions’ den and the three Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace.
We see the types and shadows of the Bride throughout the Old Testament. How holy, how dedicated and consecrated she is! Each time she appears, she is the holy one. Sinners are never used as a type of the Bride, only those who accept and obey what they know of the Lord in their day.
Are you obedient to the truth, to the Word of God? Would you be taken? Read the Book of Revelation and find just what awaits those who will be spewed into the Tribulation Period. Study the scriptures on the coming of the Lord, and let the Holy Spirit make the reality of the coming of Jesus in this last hour burn in your heart.
One flight out. Suddenly you will realize it’s over; the Rapture has happened. What chaos on Earth in that day! God help you wake up to the urgency of the hour.
Let God’s Vision of This Hour Become Your Living Reality
You need God’s vision of this hour, and that vision must turn into living reality quickly because the hour is a late one. It’s almost midnight. Don’t you see the signs of the midnight hour? Did the Lord not tell you in His Word what midnight would look like, and the hour just before midnight? You who are walking in His Spirit, you who have His love and faith, you who have His Spirit of understanding His Bible prophecies: your heart declares that it is almost midnight; and you are reaching out for His greatness, for more of your God.
Remember the living reality of the parable of the ten virgins; and be filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit, watching for the return of Jesus. Soon He will appear in midair. Comfort one another with His words of promise: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again (John 14:3). Jesus said He would come again, and angels confirmed it. God is not slack concerning His promises; when you see the end-time signs, know the midnight hour of His coming is near, even at the door. Be ready, for soon the cry, Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet Him! will be living reality. It’s almost midnight.
